THE ABOUT SECTION

Well, needless to say, you are here for a reason.

I imagine you have looked into how and what I do, I think this would be a good time to give you a little insight as to why I am here.

I know, I know, you aren't here for a tour of my past.
However, knowing someone even a little bit goes a long way to build trust.

First things first, I will not refer to myself in the third person, I am writing this, not someone else. This is a personal account and introduction.
 

I have always been curious and liked to learn, a bit of a rebel, following the 'normal' path was not something I found appealing. Though this did cause some struggles along the way, it also brought with it many important life lessons that were instrumental to create the man typing this message.

Jumping right into it. I have started my life over 4 times now and by starting over I don’t mean choosing a new direction to follow.

At the age of 17 I left home, not on the best of terms, I struck out into the world with nothing but the clothing on my back, a jacket, and an Iron Maiden cd.

I found the odd job here and there until I joined a carnival, this was my true introduction to the world. I finally reconciled with my parents and decided to head back where I came from. Once again with nothing but the clothing on my back though this time I had a few more CDs, if you can’t tell, I like my music.

Now mind you I am from Minnesota and, I found myself on the complete opposite side of the country in Louisiana. It took me a year but I made my way back to my home town and from there I made my way to forming a bond with my parents again.
 

Ah yes, the woman I met after moving back home. We had a pretty good relationship but something changed and I soon found myself a victim of an abusive relationship, I still have a scar on my shin as evidence. One fateful day I said enough, and I left. I moved again to a new town with nothing but the clothing on my back. This time with a hard drive from a computer with my music and business plans.

Now with a plan in mind and steps in place, my transition was a lot faster and within a year, with the help of my business partners, a business was born! 3 years of hard work and dedication, we had enough revenue that we could expand. I walk into the store on what I thought was a normal day. One of the partners pulls me aside and informs me that I am being removed from the business.

That evening when I went home I found that the locks had been changed and all of my belongings had been packed up and taken by my roommate and business partner. Once again, I had to start over with nothing but the clothing on my back. No music this time.
 

It wasn’t until 6 months later that I would find out that my roommate had set all of this up. He had gotten jealous because he would not be the primary on the new store. He turned the others against me and even after that, he didn’t do anything to help establish the new store.
 

When this all came to light I was offered my position as a partner again, he was removed and with the new changes, the business flourished for the next 8 years. After a little over 10 years of running the business we all decided it was time to sell.

 

I found myself working for the largest retail chain in the world, now to be fair I had started working their while the business was getting started so I could have some income at first. I ended up working in that company for 14 years. I could write some interesting stories from that time.

In 2018 I found myself at a dead end. My career in retail was going nowhere, in fact I was told as much by my supervisors. At this same time my son was turning 4 and I was finishing up training in a sales program. I left the company and focused on improving my skills in sales, copywriting, and team building.

Fast forward to today, I have worked with a multitude of companies both as a freelancer and as a leader. After 8 years of doing this, I found that many of the people that I had met and worked beside, kept telling me that I should focus on helping people improve. I took their advice and thus was born 3 C's Success. A consultation service dedicated to to helping people succeed.

What does this have to do with you?
 

Simple, if there were a moral to my story it would be this:

Perseverance is my superpower.
Nothing will stop me from moving forward.
Nothing will stop me from doing what’s right.
And Nothing will stop me from helping YOU persevere as well.
